polvito, the Ryder Cup was a stroke of brilliant strategy on the part of Sam Torrence. He put his big guns out early in the day gambling that they would get at least 4 points (which they did) and then prayed that some of the young turks and various unknowns would come through...which they did (McGuilney's putt on 18). It was a thrill to watch...something very pure about it - I'm as nationalistic as the next guy, but I think the Euro's beat us fair and square....I'll lift a pint to'em.

I haven't done anything with those stories yet...Clappy reminded me last week. I'll have to tune'em up a little and then figure out where to send them....golf rags, or travel guides.

Turns out the shoulder problem was caused by a pinched nerve in my neck...causes some serious shooting pains in the arm along with a few numb fingers. The PT lady has me on this neck stretching device, uses a little ultra sound and Naproxen (a pill the size of a cell phone). Hopefully I can get it sorted out without any surgery. Haven't played in two weeks. It's been warm and beautiful this Fall...some of the sugar Maples are just beginning to turn...a little earlier this year. Our course is just spectacular this time of year.

Baseball playoffs have begun...rooting for the Yanks! Yankees Suck! Yankees Suck!.....ooops, that's the wrong cheer...have to learn some new ones from the Clapster.
