What I'm asking is historically has there been a certain time of day they usually do it?

I'm thinking it could potentially be the thing to get us going up off of 1000... and when we get near that area it would be nice to know this piece of info.

If my recall is still good, I think the fed has done a surprise cut twice at around 11 pst on Thursday of expiry week. One was in April of 01, the other was the one in Oct 98.

I could be wrong, but I remember being amused by the pure power of the act, as it was an obvious move to destroy short term put players. Max effect.
