Harpo, I have noticed this and after looking at it I came to the conclusion that it was the increase in people who "snipe" and the evolution of sniper sites and sniper programs. These allow people to exploit the people who do not snipe, but bid second by second until it closes. A snipe at the last second does not allow him time to see it and react in time to buy the item. True a high proxy beats a sniper, but a lot of people do not use proxy. I actually started a thread on SI on that topic to see if any people wanted to kick it around and not clutter this thread with OT stuff. Subject 53351 Bill
