It is possible that there is only self interest.
That everything is an outgrowth solely of that.
And that the only definable interests are the ones which advance the self, as the self has defined itself and its advancement. That the self only internalizes values that it fines compatible with its advancement. That the only reason we meet social expectations is to ultimately advance the self.
