Actually, it's vastly more cynical than that. Bush's inheritance will be, in part, coming from his Poppy's involvement in one of the most aggressive vulture funds in the world, the Carlyle Group. They were able to scoop up some very sweet deals on downtown Bangkok, Thailand in the aftermath of a currency speculator created crisis in the Thai Baht. Convenient that.

What the Carlyle strategic thinkers are lusting after is a total collapse of the U.S. economy so that they can buy vast swaths of the economic assets of this nation at, say, ten cents on the dollar. The funding for this comes from the soon to be gushing-with-profits war rackets division of Carlyle, which will generously fund the ensuing vulture operations.

Nice work when you can get it.
