I expect you will end up with a new candidate

I may have spoken too soon. Just watched a TV panel on this, and the "51 day deadline" seems pretty straightforward. Also, Christy Whitman has been putting the Judges on your State Supreme Court, not the Dems.

With a Dem Stat Admin and Courts, I expect you will end up with a new candidate, but the Repubs will do all they can to mess it up for as long as possible.

Yep, first thought is the same as Novak's, this wins the Jersey seat for the Dems. Forrester is not a serious candidate. With the state in the Dems hands, you would imagine they would find some way to do the deed. Though I also agree the lawyers will win here for a time.

Second thought is that this is a crazy precedent. You are losing big in a race, just drop out, pass the baton to someone else to take a stab at it. Something wrong with that.

Different topic. Just watched this week's Soprano episode. Best I've seen in a long time. Had us both absolutely in stitches. I can't remember a single one of the great lines but there were some keepers.
