The SJMN went to a lot of trouble to screw up the deal with the state. And since it ended up hurting the govenor much more than ORCL, the whole thing backfired on them. I knew something was up when they ran that big story on Ellison and the America's Cup and they hardly bothered to attack him. It was just a commercial for this story (and any followup). I wonder how many people they had to show the documents to to get the comments that they did.
