I have never disagree with the fact that we can't fake our resolve. It was Bush's attempts to circumvent Congress and the UN, and go straight to war, that was an issue for me.

I don't think Bush intended to bypass the Congress. The UN? Possibly. But don't see bypassing UN as a huge problem.


Joe, I think he was testing the waters to see the reaction. In August, White House attorneys came out with a press release that said it was their opinion that legally Bush did not have to go to Congress in order to go to war. That's when the uproar started.
