<<NXTL is the most heavily shorted stock in the universe, according to the tables in this week's Barron's. Remember something called Netscape? Yahoo? Dot-coms in general? They just went up and up, not in spite of, but because of, massive short positions against the stocks.
Actually, buying stocks that the hedgie's have big short positions in can be quite profitable _ short term. Just be careful not to overstay the party.>>

As much as I like NXTL, I no longer retain a position......I could not resist taking 125% profit or so, and running like the wind.....bought low $3's, sold $7.45.....wanted to hold hald my shares, since it was the casinos money, but didnt...sold out my entire position.....I know heavily shorted stocks can be explosive to the upside as shorts cover en-mass, but if they are targeting nxtl as a short, I would think there is a good possibility they can bring it down below $5 again.....what do you think?...I must admitt, the last two weeks, tha market has gone to hell in a handbasket, but nxtl kept going up.....and looks like it still is....
