it has been reported since the beginning of the year that the longshoremen were slowing the offloading of containers in Western ports. My company started insisting that their containers be shipped to the SE US rather than being received in California and shipped overland to Florida. A huge percentage of our inventory is imports.

West coast longshoremen make about 80k per year and are a powerful force. The ports are shut down now. It is outrageous that this gets no real play in the news. It will in time as we all begin to suffer shortages.
