Make sure you read my previous post. Reaching the Indian Ocean was a long held desire for the communist USSR and for good reasons. I believe it was promoted heavily be Lenin.

Be sure and read my previous post. <g> Why did Lenin have the need to get to the Indian Ocean? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Sounds implausible. Afghanistan is land locked. Then Russia had to take Pakistan? Hummm.
