Peach and prosperity, I would say thats all of our goals. IMHO you cant have one without the other. the question is HOW do you have Peace? I dont think its possible if you let the OTHER GUY build up and distribute weapons of mass destruction to forces outside of the STATE structure who have goals entirely different then ours. Think about it. jdn

I used to be like you but I'm old enough to have lived through several Presidents. I couldn't be bothered with Roosevelt because his speeches interfered with my sleep. Truman was just THE PRESIDENT when I realized we had one and heard on the shortwave about dogfights in Korea. Heck, I didn't even know they had dogs! Kennedy sounded good, but he was over-rated and got us into a nasty war to see how good the green berets were. Johnson didn't sound good, but he was over-optimistic and got us deeper into the nasty war. Carter WAS good (as a person), but he was over his head. Clinton was a disgrace and a darn lucky one to have had the times he did.

That leaves us with Eisenhower. Ike could have slept through both terms on the basis of what he did in the Second War, but he started the interstate highway system. Nixon wasn't likable, but he got us out of Viet Nam and normalized (somewhat) relations with Red China. Ford did what he had to do. Reagan needs no explanation. Bush 41 was the most broadly qualified President we've ever had. Bush 43 is simply the right man for the right times. Don't underestimate him.

Sure I can live with that, Screachipie. But I would add honor; peace and prosperity with honor. Those are my goals.

I'm neither a Repub nor a Democrat. I'm anti-Bush, the worst president since the Great Depression(ratings under review now). My goals are simple: peace and prosperity. Could you live with that, deboy?
