Hi G,

The downturn is much more protracted in time as well - I guess the inventory overhang was much more.

I think important to note is when shipments pick up ,inventory declines fast, and then orders drive production.That in itself isn't all that important - however the MAIN KEY to my point is ,that when new orders come in after light inventory - PRICING comes back.

I can't tell you how many times in my life, I've pushed cars out cheaper than I should have, because I had inventory pressure ( of course my competition did also and it becomes a race to just stop the bleeding).

As we get into replacement chips, pricing will get at least profitable - instead of a firesale price.Profitable pricing associated with the increased unit shipments will turn these stats on a dime.
