Even if you smile.

That smile was not a solicitation for gang membership. It was an acknowledgment that you made a statement that I found particularly apt. It is in my self interest to acknowledge people when they say apt things. I find it desirable to positively reinforce aptness in society as it makes for a more effective society, which benefits me, me, me.
