Seriously, though, if Pollack argues that, it's the first I've heard of it. I took a look at the book and lightly skimmed it, and did not see any arguments or evidence I had not encountered yet, so I decided to not take the time.

CB, I recommend it highly. And it, largely, reflects your point of view. So I'm not recommending it to get you to change your mind.

But it's first class work--thorough analysis, clear writing, knows his stuff, etc.

He worked in both the Bush I and Clinton administrations. But the recommendations don't reflect the positions of either administration.
