Hard to argue against taking a 125% profit, but I think Nextel is heading higher yet. Management has executed brilliantly and keeps assuring investors they're on track for 2 million subscribers and a minimum of $3 billion in cash flow the balance of the this year, and I believe them. They deserve high praise for their execution during these hard economic times.

Nextel is no longer a story stock for the future but rather an ongoing earnings story. If, and it's a big if, they manage $1 EPS in 2004, what P/E ratio would you apply? As Jake like to say, do the math!

Eight is great, but nine will be fine!
