I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me Loretta.

Reg: What?

Loretta: It's my right as a man.

Judith: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?

Loretta: I want to have babies.

Reg: You want to have babies?!

Loretta: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.

Reg: But...you can't have babies!

Loretta: Don't you opress me!

Reg: I'm not opressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb. Where is the foetus going to gestate? You're going to keep it in a box?

Loretta: Sniff.

Judith: Here, I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to have babies.

Rogers: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister! Sorry.

Reg: What's the point?

Rogers: What?

Reg: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies, when he can't have babies?

Rogers: It is symbolic of our struggle against opression.

Reg: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

:o)

"Water for Life" Event
Dear ClearWater Network Subscribers,

It's time to RSVP for the Seattle "Water for Life" fundraising event. You already know how strongly we feel about the global water crisis, and we hope you can attend on October 5th and learn more about ClearWater's work. We are trying to get an accurate count so we can plan for food and seating. You can RSVP at (206) 297-3024 or email seattle@water.org.

Thanks and we hope to see you there October 5th!

The following are details about the Seattle event:
Water-related diseases are the leading cause of death in the world, killing more people than cancer and AIDS combined. The good news is that we have a solution, we have the cure — safe, clean water. Be part of a solution that saves lives as we raise funds for sustainable drinking water systems in Asia, including the community of Hankroil, Bangladesh, home to 1,200 people in need of clean water.

WaterPartners International has pledged a $150,000 matching fund for our fundraising efforts in Asia, and we need your help to match it, and bring our total to $300,000!

Steve Pool of KOMO 4 News and Paige Hansen of KPLU-FM, NPR News and All That Jazz will also be on hand to help us meet our goal and provide safe drinking water to thousands of people in Asia.

For more information or to RSVP, please call WaterPartners at (206) 297-3024, or email seattle@water.org.

EVENT DETAILS:
Saturday, Oct 5th, 7-9 pm
Benaroya Hall, Samuel & Althea Stroum Grand Lobby on 3rd Ave. between Union and University in downtown Seattle.
