shorts are preventing the BK by taking profits every so often, then reloading on the bounce as they squeeze a few more suckers into buying <g>

Today's 4% SPX up day is the 20th highest percentage daily gain in the SPX the past 52 years.

Interestingly, 50% of the top 20 (10 instances) daily gains in SP500 in the past 52 years occurred after 1997. 6 of the top 20 occurred in this ongoing bear market (post March 2000).
