Yes Mis. I think it's the stimulation of chlorophyll reactions. The microwaves are readily absorbed by most leaves because the wavelength closely matches most leaf size.

That increases the rate of CO2 absorption and plant growth rates, which is excellent news for crop production and reduction of world hunger [though not so good for those suffering obesity - food will be cheaper; the obese are helping by acting as a carbon sink - but only if they are buried rather than cremated, which releases the carbon again].

You can see how CDMA is of great benefit to humanity in many ways.
