Mqurice, Probably I didn't tell the story that well, but it came from a very credible source, a really good friend. Maybe the soldiers had become distrustful of everyone and merely assumed the man's behavior was suspicious. This could be because they'd heard of others who were killed by villagers. so they assumed facts not exactly in evidence. For instance, I think the "q" in your name looks like a monocle and you wear one. Close?
