stock, give me a break. The US has been moving into a service / educational economy for the past 4-decades. Why should we have to manufacture everything here?

Free market principles dictate that manufacturing should take place where it is most efficient. If it is most efficient to make something in Canada, Mexico, or China, why should it be made here?

You cannot stop a process that has been going on for nearly half a century.

I love the people that say we shouldn't allow trade with China, for example, due to their treatment of Taiwan and dissidents. These people don't realize there wouldn't be a Christmas without China, and Toys-R-Us' aisles would be completely empty.

Best Buy would be a ghost town, as they'd have very little they could sell.
