This is the same web publication that seems to promote censorship.

worldnetdaily.com

Yep. Free speech sure is a terrible thing. We should rip that god(sad)dam first amendment out of the constitution and toss it in the trash heap.

Note this little gem: "But Ackerman believes Amazon has a responsibility
to protect children from materials that expressly
advocate what he and mainstream society --
including businesses like Amazon.com -- consider
dangerous ideas. "

There go about 20% of the books Amazon sells each year. Gotta get after them dangerous ideas. Of course, we won't mention that the rights of women, revolution against Mother England, democracy, and other such thoughts have all been from time to time condemned as dangerous ideas. Can't let those sort of ideas loose in society -- who knows WHAT might happen.

BTW, note in the article that apparently a mail clerk opened US mail at the behest of a TV station. I hope both the station and the clerk get prosecuted. I don't give a damn who says what's in my mail, no clerk had better touch it just because some reporter asks him to.

This is, in fact, the closest instance where I think one might make the accusation that they are traitors. I would still hesitate myself, but would say "fair enough" about the column........
