I do. Hmm... Let's try a few more analogies while we're at it Karen.. Should we expect more crime if we prosecute and incarcerate criminals? Should we expect more murders if we prosecute and incarcerate murderers? Should we expect LESS crime if we DON'T prosecute and incarcerate criminals? Should we expect LESS murder if we DON'T prosecute and incarcerate murders?? Terrorism, when directed by both state and non-state actors, is not going to go away unless the foundation that supports it is destroyed. Terrorism is not about unhappy people. Unhappy people conduct revolutions and rebellions and overthrown their own governments (if they can). Terrorism is a tool of political power, wielded by a select few to serve their own selfish goals, not the will of the people. Look at the terrorist groups out there... They all conduct terrorist acts in order to obtain publicity, as well as to instill fear and instability. And they don't do it to serve anyone but themselves and other parties with they share mutually beneficial goals, namely to obtain power and control over the rest of the people in the territory they are operating. Conducting the UN inspection process according to previous guidelines and standards is tantamount to executing a search warrant, but permitting the suspect the right to decide where and when you can carry it out. If you were a drug dealer and you're house was being searched for drugs via an authorized search warrant, do you really believe the cops would "negotiate" with you as to where they could actually search?? Would there have EVER been a case to make against OJ had the cops been required to operate according to the seach and inspection standards the UN implements? Why you, and anyone else seem unable, or unwilling, to accept that basic premise simply astounds me. Sorry, but that's the way I fee when I see folks like trying to make excuses for an illegimate and totalitarian regime. Kinda like being John Gotti's attorney, IMO. Hawk
