jtech re: S&P PE's... The issue is the veracity of the "E" in "PE"...the QUALITY of earnings and the believability of the reported accounting numbers...along with the options issue etc... makes that number grossly under-reported...and the underlying index - grossly over-valued. DOW 5000 & S&P 500 - it's 50:50 here imho that we're heading there. The Pension Fund Crisis is going to rear it's ugly head off of those numbers and history will give us another multi-year cycle where hard assets will be favored over paper...when, not if ~ GOLD: foi est tout !
