Dock workers strike...

IMO President Bush will soon order the dock workers back to work....maybe as early as tomorrow morning?

I would think that this would be seen as positive development for the market. Some of the selling in specific stocks IMO has been "credited" to these companies not being able to obtain their needed supplies.

A recent news story: "The NUMMI auto plant in Fremont said it might have to close its truck assembly line Wednesday night because of the West Coast port shutdown.

Hundreds of millions of goods were stuck in limbo as the lockout of dock workers entered a third day. Contract talks between the workers and their employers were at a standstill."

Apparently this auto plant has now closed, laying off numerous workers....and some fear a "chain reaction" if the dock workers remain on strike. I can't see this continuing for much longer without intervention by the President.
