Thank you very much for your encouraging words. I think you are absolutely right when you talk in high regard of Canada.

My opinions of the US government came about in my youth when I saw the hypocrisy in the Iraq/Iran war.

The tariffs have affected not just my family, but every family in North America. It will cost the consumer more money, on both sides of the border, to build homes because the lumber lobbyists pushed for this tax. So don't ascertain my motivation because of tariffs.

I will admit, however, that the tariffs symbolized the hypocrisy of the United States. During 9/11, many Canadians thought the tariffs would be lifted because of Canada's tremendous support for the Americans. That to put 250,000 Canadians out of work would probably be a bad thing especially during these tough economic times.

Canadians were foolish to believe that emotion and honour could play a healthy role in this situation. Instead, your government and their corrupt tax auditors raised the tax higher.

Motivation? Maybe. But come to Canada my friend. Ask Canadians how they feel about America. Whether it is a doctor, lawyer, lumberman...we like you guys, but love is a little hard to accept. We wish for your people to get the facts and understand history better. That's all.
