Kennedy assassination. The Warren Commission was a cover-up, and the CIA feels embarrassed that so few Americans believe the lies in the Warren Commission report. Thus the huge effort to prevent any commission on 9/11. The best independent investigation was done by New Orleans DA Jim Garrison who wrote extensively on the web of connections between the patsy, Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby, and some CIA front operations in New Orleans as well as businessmen like Clay Shaw. Oliver Stone has made a gripping movie out of this real, independent investigation. Anyone who would today try to take on the Bushista junta and begin a real independent investigation is going to have to be very courageous. The Bushies play hardball. Terms like "getting Baxtered" and "Texas Suicide" come to mind here. Anyone getting too close to the truth and letting the world know about it is going to be targeted. Re: The case is full of holes, way too pat, stinks to high heaven. Everyone with a brain knows this. Srexley doesn't, of course. Re: without lifting a finger to prevent it. I think that's called treason but I don't think they hang the "right" garbage any more than they bother the "right" scams. In the U.S. we have an awful habit of electing traitors to be President. Both Bushes are arguably traitors, multiple times. The current usurper went AWOL from his Air National Guard unit in 1972. He skipped out for a year. A son of lesser privilege would have been tried for treason. GWB instead got funded by his father and friends. His father, Poppy, was clearly treasonous in his violation of the Baker Act in September, 1980 when he met with representatives of the Iranian regime to negotiate an arms for hostages deal behind the back of the Carter Administration. How the American public can be so willing to have these traitors as President is testimony to the power of the Right Wing propaganda machine to control some very weak minds. Like Srexley who prefers to be an idiot to actually forcing himself to learn anything beyond what he casually picked up in kindergarten. -Ray
