Big oil in Canada is controlled by international corporations and most of the investors would be Americans. I doubt they would give Bush the greenlight to upset their holdings.

Don't be a fool. Dealing with friends for resources is entirely different than dealing with enemies. Also, if you invaded us you would be attacked by just about every country in the world and destroyed. So don't be a fool...;-)!
