Tom, According to current radio-one product literature, 450 mhz isn't handled by zif. I assume Hitachi is using 3xxx and (maybe) 5xxx chips with some extra external SAW filters to construct their 450 mhz handsets.

Has anyone heard of any plans for a (450, 800, 1900) zif (or otherwise) chipset in the future? Is incorporating such a range of frequencies beyond the realm of current zif technologies? How big is a 450 mhz SAW filter?

Thanx for responding.
