Sans the DVD, sounds similar to a "homebrew" system I installed over a decade ago. Except I made the nodes more "capable". 'Course if I were doing it today, I'd make some changes.

Been waiting for the "Intelligent House" for over two decades now. 'Spect I'll have to wait awhile longer.
