Here all the definitions of martyr in my thickest dictionary: n. A person who chooses to suffer or die rather than give up his faith or his principles; a person tortured or killed because of his beliefs; a person who suffers great pain or misery for a long time; vt. to put to death or torture for adherence to a belief. to torture; to make suffer greatly, persecute. None of those terrorists come even close to one of these definitions. They are simply murderers. And the sooner we forget about them the better. The closest those evil people came to the word was when they created martyrs out of their victims.
