It certainly draws the line in the sand. His layout of what he thinks the Admin is up to is what I hope they are up to. His "Guns or Butter" argument is wrong, IMO. If you don't use your "Guns," you won't get a chance to eat your "Butter." Defense has to be first. The communication and transportation system we have provided the world is coming back to "bite us in the ass" as a means for our enemies to attack us. That is why the "Isolationist" position that I used to espouse, and Carl still believes in, is Utopian. We are forced to project power world-wide if we want to be safe. Sending our State Department out to make agreements with our enemies simply entices them into believing we are weak and can be attacked. That is why we got 911. We let them get away with attacking us over the last 20 years with no real counter attack.
