that raises another interesting point....the stanley works ceo brought up the issue of corporate taxation...if you recall they were the company that had announced they planned to re-incorporate in bermuda for tax reasons...(they demurred after much negative publicity....enron, global crossing, tyco, blah, blah, blah)...

he pointed out that the reason Daimler bought Chrysler instead of the other way around is because of the taxation issue.

an american corp pays taxes on ALL sales whether here or abroad....not so in europe.

he hinted that if there is not tax relief, the re-incorporation outside of the us idea might be revisited.
