Any purchase power gained by credit is lost when that loan is repaid. Actually if Americans paid all their bills they might be just about solvent. The deflation is the result of debt liquidation. Bad paper is burning at a faster rate than Greenspan can print fresh one. The dollar will tank and he'll desperately hike rates and then everything will go to hell.
