the only thing politicians pay attention to is the next election.

no more, no less. they have a defective gene that compels them to control the lives of others, regardless of the cost, expense or consequences of what they do to achieve their goals.

elections is their ticket to such goal.

so, the bastards will do whatever the majority will ask. it is their job to convince such majorities that it is them the best equipped to carry out the job. this includes putting the maximum fear in them to the point that the masses will BEG for the crooks to implement what they dream of...

taxes are the way to pay for their idiocies.

of course... they ALWAYS over-run their own budgets, which, in the first place were ill-design, since it is part of their presentation to paint a rosy picture, offering impossible dreams for little cost...

the fear is the distraction so the masses will sign (vote) without thinking...

if there was a dumb and dumber true scenario, this is it...

dumb (the politicians who offer idiotic things, without regards to cost r consequences)

dumber (the masses, drunk with fear and stupidity who accept the politicians wild promises).

so yes... taxes are very important. but the politicians will find the way to convince the masses they do not matter...
