'The Broadband Subsidy'

sadly we are so distracted as a nation that it will be sometime before light shines out of Washington to make the above happen.. Maybe another prez. will be needed that can think about more then one agenda at a time...

IMHO, the 'buy and hold' philosophy will be history soon...It's a trader's market and A LOT of damage has been done.

It will be history just at the time it makes the most sense, when the bear mkt has pummelled everybody and the leaders are known.

Of course one of the best things about LTBH was the tax advantages and I don't think anybody cares about that anymore.

Drugs as a group have been acting OK. PE's look OK, and there's quite a bit in the pipeline (just not necessarily at SGP and BMY). So, if you need to be long (IRA, etc.) that's where I would look. As always, caveat emptor, but there are worse times to buy than now (like 2-3 years ago).
This mildly positive opinion applies to investment-grade issues, not the $2 gee-whiz stuff.
