Yes, and Czech, China, plus several other countries where British jobs have gone. Lots of them, they were originally taken away from Americans in the case of hi tech.

No disrespect to the countries involved, I expect they have as many (even more probably) problems then we do. It's just my cynicism of our politicians and economists to know their left hand from their right. Things like "productivity" even when it's not some screwball concept like having a PC with a clock rate X2, is a double edged sword. Important points are things like real wages, profits, savings...and maybe even debt matter. Hey, maybe even the mental health of the nations children matter in the "productivity" equation! -g-
