carranza- thrilled to hear things weren't so bad. A Cat 4 hitting a coast with such an extended low -lying inland would have been a Camille-like catastrophe. Have you heard what caused it to fall apart at the last minute. From every thing I have read, the surface waters were warm, and there was high pressure aloft. It was also a compact storm with a good forward speed. Does anyone know of any meteorlogical reason this occured or was it Divine Providence?

By the way, whee in the great nation of Louisiana do you reside?
