'greater than Canuckian GDP by 12.5% by "PPP" ' - 'PPP' = purchasing power parity? ... possibly, i don't know where you got the figures? .... i'm not up on the statistics, but two things come immediately to mind as possible factors - 1. there are over three times as many mexicanistas as canuckians, and 2. much of what is consumed in Méxistan is produced within the nation .... the very great majority of all goods and services .... example; music - there is an entire world of latino music, of which you'll get no more than the merest glance bringing up Univisión on cable, or watching the 'Latin Grammys', etc ..... just about everything in the country is made by some neighbour, folks can't afford the imported stuff, mostly .... some cheap crap from China, but that's true everywhere these days, probably less so in societies less rich
