Sounds great, no I don't agree. The characteristic that made America great was justice and freedom. A big part of justice is due process. The idea that the U.S., or more rightly a minority faction of the U.S., can decide to go kick butt and cleanup whatever they think is wrong is way too much like the Queen of Hearts shouting "Off with their heads". I can't imagine for a moment that it would promote democracy in Iraq or in America. There is no due process.

At least 50+ years ago when Germany and Japan launched attacks, often toward oil fields, there was a perception that they needed the resources to continue with a modern economy. The U.S. does not even have that excuse. This act of aggression is worse in that respect than the German invasion of the Middle East or the Japaneese attack on the far Eastern oil supplies. You may quote me on that! I just hope I don't have to read of the rape of Bagdad.
