There are myriad "ifs" to address before George Bush's policy in Iraq can ever be declared "a success," the biggest being some kind of solution to the Israeli-Palestinian ticking timebomb. Until that is defused, brainwashed Muslims will continue to fly planes into buildings ... and worse.

The big question in my mind is can a democratic form of government be forced on the people of Iraq, and can it succeed? Perhaps we should just dispense with the democracy schtick and simply pay (bribe) the winner of "Survivor: Iraq Warlord" like we used to do (probably still do) in some of the banana republics of Central America.
