Maybe in your crowd. Among the people I was friends with in college, pretending that the racial theories of the Nazis were plausible, or that mass murder had any possible justification in a civilized society would have aroused contempt for the professor.......

I am trying to figure out why his POV is repugnant. If you tell bright students who know about relativism, that something is "just wrong" you will lose their intellectual respect.

Not all bright students who know about relativism buy in to the idea.
