No, I believe the Cold War was the reason for the CIA's attempts to overthrow governemts. Do you really think that the CIA is going to overthrow a government just to benefit Pepsi or ITT, and overlook it when America's largest oil companies lose ownership of a quarter of the world's oil? I don't. Armaco's nationalization didn't take place overnight either - it took years.
