So when was it, exactly, that the war on Iraq started?

By normal definitions, we've been at war with Iraq since 1991. They shoot at our aircraft almost every day. We bomb them almost every day. We have taken control of the northern No Fly Zone. We control goods going into the country and oil coming out of the country. We just bombed their airport in Basra.

But as for when the US military buildup started, maybe Tek can tell you. There's an article in today's WSJ about it, but I don't have a subscription, don't want a subscription, and they don't sell one day access.

I might take a look at it next time I am at the library, but I don't expect to be anywhere that has a WSJ today.
