The really weird thing about Edwina Currie is that she's destroying her own reputation as well as Majors' reputation. I know the saying, "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" but she's really over the top. Where I come from, behaviour like hers would cause her to be unwelcome anywhere.

A large percentage, but not all, married people cheat on their spouses, but a little hypocracy is good for society. Keeps families together, and all that.

I am mindful of a couple of British anecdotes - the dowager who said she didn't care what people did sexually "as long as they didn't frighten the horses," and the lord who told a blackmailer "publish and be damned."
