overturn a dictator with hegemonic
ambitions that he feels are thwarted by the United States, who is trying to
acquire WMD and enhanced delivery systems, and is probably on the verge
of having a full-blown nuclear capability......

Funny. Except for the dictator part (and if I remember correctly, Saddam was actually elected, wasn't he?), that's pretty much the way many countries feel about us. Except that instead of being on the verge of having nuclear capacity, we have it in spades, along with biological weapons, chemical weapons, and other WMDs.

I know. You trust our government to use these WMD responsibly and appropriately.

I bet if you ask the person on the street in Baghdad they will say the same of Saddam. And the Pakistani will say the same of their leaders. And the Indians, Chinese . . .

It's the same old tune you keep playing. I, Neo, have the whole, total, and complete truth and right, and everybody who disagrees with me is evil, wicked, blameworthy, and stupid besides.

That tune is getting old.
