However!!! the put/call ratio has diverged from the July setup. It is moving in the opposite direction on this move. This means that people are buying puts. This should slow down the drop, but also cause more controlled descent that will take longer and take us much lower. Other than increasing negative sentiment, hedging w/Puts specifically also allow investors to NOT sell.
