Under my personal sense of morality, no.

I do not think it is my best interests to receive money I don't work for. I think it is too tempting to want that. I think it is contrary to my long term best interests.

That's why I never gamble, never buy lottery tickets, etc. I just don't think it's good for me to get money that way.

I suppose if I were to become disabled and unable to work, and had nothing to live on, I would accept charity. I don't know. But that would be a different situation. But as long as I'm capable of providing for myself, it is better for me that I do so, and only spend that money which I can by my own labors, which include the labor of investing, earn.

Gratuitous nonsense. "Self interest" is not being self centered. Nor does it imply an intentional estrangement from society and inclusiveness. We call the exceptions to this psychopaths...but that is an entire other jack in the box...
