This week for the very first time the largest BMW dealer here locally was advertising discounts on new cars. I have never seen BMW discounted here in our market. Of course the ad pointed this out and added that they wouldn't ever be offered again. HO HO HO

I can see keeping it 10 years

I bought my 1991 Ford Bronco II in 1992.

I bought of some guy who was just canned from his pulp mill job in Maine. It only had 10k on the clock and I paid about $10k for it. He had to make up the difference on the payments as he paid $19k for it. It was a good deal, I knew I was taking his pride and joy, but at the same time he was a smart kid who knew debt is not where needed to be at the time. I hope he has done well since then.

If he is looking in on the thread, I still own that Bronco. I call it "DAS TRUK" because I went everywhere in it. Including places where you do need 4 wheel drive. I don't drive at the moment. It's sitting in a garage I built for it waiting for a better day. I can buy a second hand car for less then the insurance to drive it here.

It's a fine piece of American engineering and manufacture though, that I am unwilling to give it up -g-
