I roast beets, too. I usually only boil them if they're for pickled beets.

I can't wait to talk about Survivor Thailand. I'm starting right now, in fact:

Wasn't Ghandia awful for telling everyone what happened with Ted so inaccurately, and omitting his apology and vow he would never grind against her at night again? What a thing. And wasn't it interesting how the producers showed their distress at what she had done by giving those quick closeups of her shameless p-teasing, like her hand on his leg? And the snuggling, the kissing? What did she have in mind? Why did she do that? And to the only other black player, too.

Ted will be in trouble when he gets home.

He's been a nice guy, too, in general. I hope the others saw through what she'd done and change their minds about voting him off.

And wasn't it great when the relatively feeble, lame old team won, just because the strong and gorgeous and clueless young ones kept messing up? And isn't it amazing that the group that should be the best one, given their physical superiority, is doing so badly psychologically (even though they've won the most competitions) because they don't cohere, and are clueless? And that there were all those votes by them to get rid of the Asian girl, whom they need because she's their main brains, simply because they don't like her? Do they think it's a fraternity party? And wasn't it typical that they lost their fishing net from being stupid and lazy? And why were they doing anything but fishing, ever? They desperately need protein. And how could it be that their imaginations didn't extend to conceiving anything the Red Berets could do for them besides perhaps finishing their shelter?

Somehow the producers chose that competition for the purpose of giving that assistance to the weaker tribe, I think. How they could know the brash youths, driven by testosterone, would violate the ground rules I don't know. But this was too good an outcome not to have been wished for by them. Had it not happened, Team Feeble would have been irremediably disadvantaged. As it is, they're having soup and they have that nice cave to live in and they love each other!

Except of course for Ted and Ghandia.
